Welcome to Borscht Belt Memoir. If you were fortunate enough to have spent your summers vacationing or working in the “Mountains” when it was affectionally referred to as the Borscht Belt then you were lucky. Unfortunately, it is gone as we knew it but for many of us, it exists in our wonderful memories and brings us a smile.

Here at Borscht Belt Memoir, we offer a variety of Apparel and Gifts as a remembrance of a time gone by and we also introduce you to a little Yiddish from our Bubbie Balabusta.

Please let us introduce our Bubbie Balabusta the expression of her wisdom is our inspiration. Every family has a Bubbie Balabusta willing to express herself in no uncertain terms and she lets the chips fall where they may. If you are the target of her observation it might sting, and feel uncomfortable, and in the end, you laugh, smile, and love her for it.
